CMS acronym stands for Campaign Management System. It is used for campaign creation and customer data manipulation.

Universe represents a foundation for CMSWeb application usage. This is a basic working unit for all designated tasks on a specified database table. Universe encapsulates all application parts or tasks. Also universe is a framework for a group of users or for an individual user.

Universe automates, encapsulates and groups all nominated tasks in one working unit. Universe consists of Campaigns, Segments (Universe Segments), Queries, and Filters.

Campaign is an element that contains group of data about customers and scheduled plan for customer notification process about some event.

Campaign contains selected notification date – event mechanism used in purpose of informing end users or customers, for instance notifying diverse groups of buyers that certain products packages or selling offer is available and that they are aimed audience, in a confident group of course.

Universe Segment or just Segment is a set of records representing saved results of some query or filter execution. Universe Segments are used for reporting, data tracking and they also could be used in creating new queries or query units.

Campaign Segment represents part of the Campaign cluster. It aims one particular group of users (customers) and offers them an individually optimized offer.

Basically, filter represent SQL query. Filters are used for extracting certain type of data from base table using SQL queries. There are two kinds of filters in CMSWeb: simple and advanced.

Query, like filter, represents SQL query. Queries can be used for creating very complex SQL queries. Each query consists of query units. In each query unit there can be one or more of the following operands: filters, campaign segments, universe segments or other query units.

Extract is used to generate data in some form for further processing or backup. Extract could be performed on various Universe parts: Universe Segments, Campaigns and Campaign Segments. Product of extract is formatted file (TAB, CSV or Excel) representing results of a Segment (Campaign or Universe) or complete Campaign.

CMSWEB has very simple and intuitive design, which enable either inexperience and experience users to use application in comfortable way.
