ProjectTracking.NET is designed to simplify development and project management for geographically dispersed teams. ProjectTracking.NET offers a source code subversion integrated with issue tracking system and resource management. Although built on Microsoft technology, the system supports Java or any other environment which requires a central repository for version controlled documents. The system is entirely browser based. There is no client application installation or maintenance.

The Source Control Module maintains document change history. It offers a number of advanced features such as network traffic optimization, build process automation, build subversion, file change log, remote project deployment, file change subscriptions, file version comparing, folder sharing among the projects and recursive directory traversing combined with check in and check out. Checking in or out thousands of files is a couple of mouse clicks away with Source Control. ProjectTracking.NET supports multiple time zones, unlimited projects per system and local project folders for every individual user.

The Task Control Module provides a task navigator with multiple task filtering criteria for easy navigation. Beside basic features such as handling comments and task attachments, Task Control offers number of advanced productivity features such as time estimates entry, developer assignments, tasks prioritize, status handling, email notifications and time sheet management. Developers and project managers communicate via emails in work flow fashion. The system generates some of the email notifications automatically. Others are initiated by user. The module contains a number of decision support and productivity reports.

The Administration Module provides for fine grained, role based security model. Also, the Administration module helps set up user data such as user e-mail addresses, user time zone, user role and role rights.
